• Our involvement with utilities clients includes assistance to various Public Authorities and Private Sector entities in numerous jurisdictions throughout the U.S. as well as Canada.

• Our operational risk and exposure experience includes Water, Wastewater, Power-Generation, Electrical Distribution, Natural Gas Distribution, Steam and Chilled Water Distribution.

• We have been a consultant on some of the largest publicly-financed plant construction projects in the world. Additionally we have been involved in analyzing and securing coverage for uniquely challenging risk exposures (e.g. dam rehabilitation).

• As a first step, we typically conduct risk assessments and insurance program audits for our utility clients to assess strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.  

• We assist almost all of our utility clients with procurement of insurance, insurance brokerage and third-party claims administrator services. 

• A key capability that is relevant to our utility clients is our Construction Project Risk Management services, including owner-controlled insurance program design, facilitation and management.  

• Another practice area that is often relevant to our utility clients is our alternative risk financing experience, including evaluation of both individual and group alternatives. This provides us with a working knowledge of such alternatives including the associated pros and cons.
