Responsibilities
Al is a Principal of the firm and has served as Co-President since 1999. He is a senior management strategist who helps clients develop complex risk management programs. In particular, he has deep expertise assessing and managing risks in the real estate industry and minimizing insurance premiums. He advises real estate owners, lenders, developers, property management companies and construction firms on the full range of financial options to mitigate insurable risks. His emphasis is always in identifying risks and transferring liability to others where possible including setting best practice protocols for contracting with third party vendors. He examines and recommends changes to management agreements, leases and construction documents so that they function as effective risk management tools. Al also prevents his clients from overpaying for their insurable risks on their property portfolios through due diligence reviews and strategic procurement methodologies.
