Lee is a veteran risk and insurance management executive. Lee expertise is in the public sector, healthcare, education, and group services practice arena.
Lee has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry. His experience in development of traditional and alternative risk financing entities has demonstrated a track record of implementing facilities, finance, information technology and management of new strategies and business plans in high stakes, publicly visible situations. Prior to joining Albert Risk, he was the executive director of the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal. Prior to that position, as an independent consultant he helped organize and became the first executive director of the Public School Risk Institute. From 13 years, he served as Director of Finance & Risk Management for the Georgia School Boards Association, which required guiding the formation and development of two self-insurance groups and building a staff and external team of service professionals. This work was preceded by leadership of the Association's sponsored insurance manager, Public School Underwriters. His experience includes Board level presentation, strategy development, selection and direction of actuarial, investment, claims management, insurance broker, risk control and communication services. Over a nearly 20 year period, Lee led nonprofit insurance and risk sharing groups formed by public school districts in Georgia and New York, together representing more than 400 districts and nearly 1.4 million students. He has traveled extensively in the US as a consultant for publicly traded insurance underwriting entities. He was trained as a general agency underwriting manager for local governments and schools.
