Joe founded Albert Risk Management in the 1960s to fill a void where clients could get a truly third party independent alternative to assess their insurance needs. Joe identified inefficiencies in the commercial insurance distribution system which resulted in a model that fails to provide unfettered advocacy for the policyholder and uneven emphasis on important technical aspects of insurance contracts. Joe founded the firm to address the potential conflict of interest inherent with brokers’ need to balance their service obligations to their policyholder clients with their concurrent quest to maintain solid relationships with key underwriting markets. Decades later, Joe still provides primary consulting services to key clients and freely shares his repository of experience with the firm when unique questions arise.
Joe has over 66 years in the industry, 49 of which have been with the firm. Prior to founding his own firm in 1967, Joe was as a senior consultant with a large insurance consulting firm where he originated and edited a well-known insurance newsletter.
